Kakak

Have I told you that mom’s project is almost completed? The days are tougher and tougher but I can almost see the finish line, which is great :) I will then take 4 months off to spend with you and your future brother/sister at home or wherever you want me to take you. Just by imagining how it’s like put a very big smile on my face. Kak, time flies. I remember starting this project when you were 7 months old. I carried my pumping gear each day to give you enough milk to drink. I sneaked inside an empty office twice or 3 times a day cause God knew you were such a little milk drinker monster :) it wasn’t enough though. Still got to do midnite pumping to cope with your thirst :) Having a supportive boss and understanding colleagues helped me a lot during those not so easy moments. Having a supportive and understanding son as YOU ARE was my ultimate savior. I couldn’t recall if you ever put on a nursing strike. Even when we finally weaned each other (it was 2 weeks before your 2nd birthday by the way), no tears shed. It was indeed two years of happy breastfeeding, wasn’t it Kak? As the project evolved, so you grew bigger, smarter. If I had to excuse myself to go to site, your most repeated lines were: don’t forget to take crane pictures for me, red, yellow, and green. When things got rough, and I needed to take some rest after a long and tiring journey, your words were: ga papa mama. Kasian adek. Mama bobo aja. Pilar main sama papa. When both of us out of town, you said: ga papa. Pilar bobo sama teteh aja. ----------(mama nangis dulu) Mom’s project is all over the media now. One of the biggest project in the country they said. 300 million USD for the project itself and 2 billion USD for the complete development. Me, I’d say: one of the most complex project that literally drain your sweat and tears! So if I have to thank someone, the one who plays the major part of me surviving this project, it is definitely you, Kak. I pray that you will carry with you throughout your life the kindness of a man, a respectful and responsible human being (remember your school motto! :) ), with off course abundant sense of humor (yes you are my comic little man!). Thank you, Kak. I love you.
