hari ini kebagian tugas ekskul dari kantor, nemenin anak2 ekspat yang sekolah di sekolah prancis jakarta dan sedang mendapat tugas untuk belajar cara kerja divisi saya. agendanya hari ini adalah saya presentasi mengenai project dan ngajak mereka ke workshop di pulogadung.

menyenangkan! pertama karena mereka masih berumur 15 tahun (coucou hugo et miko!), dan kemampuan bahasa inggrisnya terbatas, jadi kita dituntut untuk ngejelasin hal yg amat berbau teknis dengan sesimpel mungkin dan bahasa yang bisa mereka pahami. jadi sesekali saya switch ke bhs prancis kalo ada hal2 yang ga dimengerti.

lalu pas kita jalan ke workshop, baru ketauan kalau mereka bawel bangeeeeet. seneng ngomong, seneng cerita (dengan detail, prancis banget deh!), saling timpal2an satu sama lain. hadeuh :D temanya bener2 random. dari cerita pelajaran mereka di sekolah, keluarga mereka, hobi, sampai guru galak aja mereka curhatin.. i feel like learning to become an ABG mom already!

sampe di workshop, mereka heboh dengan perangkat safety yg harus dipake. sibuk foto2 denga gaya yang super..ABG (again!). i couldn't stop smiling and laughing. they seemed happy and enthusiastic all the time. i feel like i didn't waste my time, at all :)

makan siang, mereka request makan sushi. asalnya mau ke umaku tebet atau sushi tei plasindo, tapi karena jalanan macet, kita makan siang di brusselspring epiwalk saja. yang satu makan chicken cordon bleu, yg satu makan salad (catet ya ibu2, mereka udah doyan salad dari kecil lho) hahaha..dan ditutup makan eskrim, dua2nya. lucuuuu banget :) seneng liatnya, apalagi saat mereka bilang makanannya enak, eskrimnya enak, mereka senang :)

at the end, saya capek banget, physically, karena nonstop ngomong jelasin ini itu dan ladenin mereka cerita sepanjang jalan, juga muter2in workshop yang panas aja gitu :P tapi liat mereka happy dan antusias, saya pun ikut happy :)

in this heart of mine, i couldn't resist to hope that one day, when pilar's grown up, he'll be as open as these 2 kids, tell me stories from school, share me anything he wants, and i could be there, all ears, for him. amin :)

Friday 5

let's hit another friday 5 :)

1) yesterday's my lil bro's birthday. you're 30 yo man dek, but you remain little for me for life :) wish you and your family the best.

2) good news came from a very close family, 2 different news, one after the other, one day after the other from the same person :) this is God's plan talking here. i wish you in good health always.

3) another change in the office. one BIG change, but i think we'll handle this change smoothly as long as we remain proffessional.

4) pilar and his dad got sick, common cold as usual. pilar's recovery seems to be faster than his dad. well, pilar's been staying at home, not really resting cause he moved ay-lot, and the dad insisted to work despite his condition. it probably explained why. nevertheless, wish you both in healthier condition soon, love :)

5) and what relates to me.. hmm i got my hair cut! didn't have the gut to cut it shorter so i just asked a small trim that's all. probably later. when i start to move a lot, to sites, yards, etc and this long hair starts to annoy me :P

may i have a 5bis? it's my blog anyway :P

ok, this one last point. current obsession: collecting batik tulis coat. i started early this year (which's 2 weeks ago) with 1 red batik madura, and later on 1 greenish batik pekalongan. i limit myself not to purchase anything more expensive than 400k rupiahs a piece. why? because once it gets more expensive than that, and knowing that i'm no batik expert, it'll start to be too much and irresponsible. rrrr.. am i making my point clear? well, let's say someone offered me a batik top for more than 500k and says that this kind of batik is limited, or has historical value, or..whatever. i wouldn't know, and i simply don't care. for me, as long as it's got a nice color, nice pattern, and costs me less than 400k, case closed :) and where could i get those batiks? new spot in town, thamrin city :)

2011 not a bad year at all

it's great to see what we achieved last year, so here we go:

January
Got sucked up by the new work load, leading 4 contracts with no back-up. Why did they call my post “leader” when there’s only me working by the way? Well, it didn’t matter much when I got the promotion I wanted, don’t you think? ;)

February
Our 3rd wedding anniversary, off course!
Pilar’s weaning, at the age of 2 weeks to 2 years old.

March
We had a late house warming, birthday celebration of Pilar and his dad at the same time.

April
It’s hubby’s turn to be promoted :) Congrats love!
Signing our 2nd property purchase.

May
Singapore’s family trip. I managed to skip a big meeting with the authorities for this long awaited vacation.

June
Pilar’s performance at his school, playing as giraffe and dancing to the music :)

July
Pilar’s first day at new school.
Husband’s got transferred to Jakarta Office again, yay!

August
Say bye to Bonzo, and welcoming our new car :)
Lebaran day, in Bandung as well as Jambi
Signing our 3rd property purchase.

September
My 31st birthday, celebrated with besties in Paris where I had a week of training there.

October
Became a co-speaker in ITB, for a lecture organized by my company. The main speaker was my division’s former big boss in head quarter. TREM to the BLE.

November
Mbak’s wedding, which meant I got to cover some of her tasks at home. Me back to the kitchen!
Registering Hajj 2013. Bismillah!

December
Family trip to West Sumatera!
