The after words..

Thanks to the dead smart phone, i was able to enjoy my ride from the chateauform to home last night.
Indeed, if my phone weren't dead i'd be drowned into it and care less to what was happening outside.

The ambiance was magnificent. I passed the invalides park, crossing the bridge pont de l'alma, grand palais in my right and palais de la decouverte in my left, along with the falling autumn leaves, and the city lights which never seem to loosing its brightness.
(Hello nuclear power!)

I wasn't in my top performance, had a short sleep the night before, going through a medical check up in the morning, and ran to this group seminar where i had to present in a workshop to cover my sick boss (get well soon, boss!).

Thank God for uber, i could sit back and relax during my way home and made a few reflections on what's been happening lately.

The driver was quiet. He opened the window just a bit allowing me to breath the fresh air inside his mazda 6 comfortable car.

A short 30 minutes ride from paris to home, and it was one of the best rides i've ever had.

And this!

At the volkswagen boutique in Berlin where they sell as well the cars miniature, a boy was anxious to ask for a tank truck. He said.. "i only got 2€ left in my saving. I used to have 22 but i spent 20 over a speed boat in Vienna. I cant buy this 10€ truck mom".

My heart melted. I felt proud and sad at the same time. I did give the 8€ subvention and had the sweetest smile from him in return.

Please keep him safe, Allah..

A girl who won't stop running

And this girl just had her batteries all charged!
All i did was (almost) at all time chasing her running everywhere. She's still unstable and fell few times..especially on uneven stone roads in Prague.
Iris Rahima, run far and chase your dreams!

Medium boy

When we were walking the streets of Berlin, he said: "I'm not a good boy, not a bad boy. I'm a medium boy!"

Laughed out loud.

Love you so much my medium boy!

Vacances bien méritées

So came my next turn to kill another pitching presentation. This time was in english, i was more comfortable with the subject, but still not easy as it involved a lot of strategic analysis.

Alhamdulillah it was a success. Our proposals were globally accepted and a trip is confirmed for end of november.

Here i am 30 minutes past midnight, still packing our suitcases for a well deserved vacation. For husband who just passes his first e-mba session.. for a boy who just nailed his spelling test.. for a girl who just cant stop making us smile.. and for me who's just so grateful for where we are at this point of our life.

See you soon, Vienna, Prague, and Berlin!

You have been brave

I never thought how harsh life could treat you. I have never lived such situation. At the age of 6, being in a country where noone speaks your language, going to a school where you struggle to even understand what your friends are trying to tell you.

When someone did you bad and we told you to fight him cause he's a naughty boy, you said "no, he's not bad like a bandit" my mouth smiled but my heart ached. God has given me an angel to raise.

This whole thing seems like a fairytale to some. I'd say it's a struggle for each one of us, with a faith that it'll lead us to something good, something bright.

Je t'aime mon coeur. Reste debout et on s'en sortira.
